Channel Sales Manager
Location: San Mateo, CA
Reports to: Director of Channel Sales
Job Req: 08-06
Composite Software is looking for a talented Channel Sales Representative to manage the regional VAR HQ relationships and provide customer / market coverage to the direct sales force. The Channel Sales Representative will work closely with the VAR Account Managers to provide the necessary tools and guidance and by creating a partnership to increase revenue and achieve business and financial goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive current and future revenue through VARs
- Ensure VARs have a proactive plan in place to drive new opportunities and pipeline of potential customers
- Provide VARs training / guidance on Composite Software products, utilization of cold calling methodologies, additional sales techniques, etc.
- Participate in customer sales calls with VARs as necessary
- Create avenues between VARs and Composite Software to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
- Develop and maintain financial and non-financial metrics to measure VAR performance, including company financials, sales bookings, marketing capabilities, service capabilities, and management capabilities.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of Channel Sales experience in enterprise software segment
- Experience developing and maintaining effective relationships with VARs
- Ability to think strategically about business, products, and sales challenges
- Customer service driven
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills
- Ability to effectively articulate features of Composite Software’s products to customers and VAR’s in a business and technical manner
- Ability to travel as needed to VAR or customer sites
Education
- BS degree or equivalent in selling enterprise software
