Technical Support Engineer

Location:      San Mateo

Job Req:       07-31

Reports To:  Director Engineering Services

Composite Software is hiring a full-time Technical Support Engineer.  Composite has experienced rapid growth over the last two years and has signed up a large number of new customers and OEM partners.  In addition, Composite is launching a number of new product initiatives. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for providing highly technical customer support to our growing customer base. The ideal candidate would have experience and expertise in database software, and be comfortable in quickly learning to use a myriad of technologies and applications in order to resolve a customer issue.

Required Skills

 

The following experience is required:

  • 2-3 years experience supporting enterprise-level software.
  • Experience with an Application Server
  • Ability to troubleshoot and reproduce difficult scenarios.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Excellent written and oral communications skill.
  • Comfortable with incoming customer calls and working with senior engineers in resolving issues.
  • Experience with SQL and RDMS
  • Flexibility to work early hours and after hours

 

The following skills and knowledge are a plus:

  • XML, web services and Java
  • Computer Science degree
