COMPOSITE SOFTWARE NAMED A "STRONG PERFORMER" IN IAAS BY LEADING INDEPENDENT RESEARCH FIRM
SAN MATEO, Calif. - January 23, 2008 –Composite
Software, Inc., a real-time data integration leader, today announced it was cited as a “strong performer” in Information-As-A-Service (IaaS). Composite was among a select group of companies that Forrester Research invited to participate in its January 2008 Forrester Wave report, “The Forrester Wave™: Information-As-A-Service, Q1 2008.”
The report by the independent analyst firm writes, “IaaS not only addresses data integration and data management challenges; it also provides a more flexible architecture to support a broader range of use cases.” The report also states, “The IaaS software market overlaps several existing markets including data integration, data replication, data availability, enterprise search, real-time business analytics and application development tools.”
To help enterprises make informed decisions about the myriad IaaS technologies available, the report applied more than 90 criteria to leading IaaS vendors, citing the companies as “leaders,” “strong performers” and “contenders.” In summarizing Composite Software’s position, the report notes, “Composite, a former EII player, has made a move into the IaaS market to gain a spot among the Strong Performers. Composite remains committed to IaaS, and [it] has a strong road map and vision.” Furthermore, the report describes, “Composite has a good IaaS offering, especially to support high-performance applications and a single version of the truth in moderate to large implementations.”
“We built our company to fulfill large enterprises' fast-growing requirements for real-time data integration," says Jim Green, CEO and president, Composite Software. “Forrester has been at the vanguard of reporting on this new, virtualized approach, IaaS, for the past three years. We are pleased that Forrester analysts, like our innovative customers, are recognizing and placing value on our practical and proven IaaS solution—a solution that leverages our strong IaaS component integration and superior run-time capabilities that turn our customers’ IaaS visions into realities."
