Butler Group Finds Composite Information Server 4.6’s Interface and Automatic Code Generation Valuable New Features

SAN MATEO, Calif. - April 04, 2008 – Composite Software, Inc., the virtual data integration company, today announced that a product evaluation by industry analyst firm Butler Group, a Datamonitor company, recommends that organizations with a diverse range of applications needing to consolidate data virtually, as well as those transitioning to service-oriented architecture (SOA), would benefit from using the company’s newest solution, Composite Information Server 4.6.

• Accesses data in real time from multiple sources, including transactional applications, relational databases and XML files. It then combines, abstracts and simplifies source data before delivering it via Web Service Description Language (WSDL), web services or SQL relational views to third-party, data-consuming clients;

• Accesses packaged-application data via optional, pre-built data services through vendor-certified API’s for packaged applications including SAP, Oracle and Siebel; 

• Utilizes extensive industry standards to be technology and application agnostic;

• Can be slotted into mixed environments of legacy and new applications and architectures and pull data together for real-time operational purposes; and

• Transforms data into SQL (the language designed to join data within and across databases and tables) to enable queries to be passed through its optimizer, which optimizes queries to collect the minimum amount of data from the data sources it interacts with.
